In addition to my professional endeavors, I have a variety of personal interests that enrich my life and inform my practice. Reading, traveling, and exploring new cultures continually expand my horizons and enhance my understanding of the diverse experiences of my clients.

As a mother, I understand the complexities of balancing personal and professional responsibilities. This perspective allows me to connect with my clients on a deeper level, offering a compassionate and relatable approach to therapy. My goal is to create a supportive and empowering environment where clients feel heard, valued, and capable of making positive changes in their lives.

Through Better With Time, LLC, I am committed to ongoing professional development and continuously seek out new knowledge and skills to enhance my therapeutic practice. My Education & Experience

My journey in mental health therapy began at Norfolk State University (NSU), where I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. NSU provided me with a robust foundation in social work principles, ethics, and practices. The comprehensive training I received at NSU emphasized cultural competence, empathy, and a client-centered approach—values that continue to guide my practice today.

After graduating from NSU, I pursued and achieved licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). This process involved gaining supervised clinical experience and passing a rigorous examination, underscoring my competence and commitment to the field. Achieving my LCSW was a significant milestone, marking my readiness to provide high-quality, independent mental health services to my clients.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive clinical experience working with a diverse range of clients. I specialize in helping individuals navigate trauma and significant life transitions, including motherhood, divorce, transitioning to college, and adolescence. My work with these populations has deepened my understanding of their unique challenges and enhanced my ability to provide empathetic and effective support.

My therapeutic approach is fundamentally person-centered. I believe that every client is the expert of their own life, and my role is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings. Building a strong therapeutic alliance is essential, and I strive to empower my clients to take an active role in their healing and growth.

The field of mental health is always evolving, and I am committed to staying current with the latest research and techniques. I regularly participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to ensure that I provide the best possible care to my clients.
